    Proactive and Sociable IT Technician for Multi Award Winning Architecture Practice

    £23,000-£28,000 p.a + benefits

    A multi-award winning architectural studio are seeking an experienced IT Technician to join their lively and sociable studio in South West London. Excellent communications skills are key to success in this role as you will be providing a technical support facility for all architects and admin staff for any hardware and software problems they may encounter.

    You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day running of the IT Systems department, providing maintenance and support for company printers and ensuring regular backups and maintaining IT security systems. The successful candidate will need to be able to introduce a programme of preventative IT maintenance and health checks and train all new and existing staff in the use of the practice’s hardware and software as required. You will also be maintaining up to date licenses and reporting all significant potential problems to the Operations Director.

    Previous experience of technical/IT support in a similar industry is essential, as well as a positive, proactive and hands-on approach. Knowledge of Apple Mac computers, Apple servers, Adobe software and 3D printers would be highly beneficial.

    The candidate must be looking to take a step up with an natural ability to be organised, communicative and on the ball. This varied and challenging role will require InDesign skills to prepare presentations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Preparing presentations, reports and correspondence
    • Attend meetings taking notes and minutes
    • Organised travel arrangements
    • Assist with coordination of bid work
    • Document filing and retrieval
    • Ad hoc assistance to admin and business development team

This is a varied and comprehensive role and you will be answering phone calls, managing the switchboard, stock upkeep, dealing with couriers, managing all meeting rooms, travel booking and assisting with other general ad hoc tasks for the Studio Manager.

    The successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and a clear, confident and polite telephone manner. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including word, Excel and Outlook is essential and you will ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

This is for one of their leading Partners and the ideal candidate will have proven experience within a similar role. Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing a complex diary and travel management, filtering of the Partner’s inbox (acting as gatekeeper), processing expenses, invoices, project support and writing reports and presentations.
